Our Story

Three generations.
One riverside table.

From Primrose Gardens in 1969 to the Oaks Inn in 1984, Mark, Deb, Josh and Jake opened The Black Goose Grill in January 2012. Our philosophy is simple: large portions, small prices, and the comfort foods most of us grew up with.

Large portions, fair prices
Canadian comfort food
Broasted chicken & roast beef
Community giving
Dining room interior at The Black Goose Grill, warm evening light
Plated steak dinner with roasted vegetables and pan jus

2012

The Black Goose Grill

Mark Childs and his wife Deb, with sons Josh and Jake, open The Black Goose Grill at 525 James Street in January 2012.
